Armenia can no longer develop military-technical cooperation and increase defense ties only with Russia, as was the case before, Prime Minister of the Republic Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with the Public Radio of Armenia, Report informs.

In his opinion, Armenia needs to change the concept of army development. He did not rule out that the relevant document would be adopted before the end of the year. It is necessary to reconsider interaction with other states and set out an idea with whom and how the country should cooperate in the defense sector, the prime minister noted.

“In the past, Armenia’s relations in the defense sector were 97% connected with Russia. Now this cannot be due to objective and subjective reasons,” Pashinyan said.
